What To Do After Receiving A Petition For Appropriate Relief

If there has been a violation of the consent agreement and order, the prosecutor may file a petition for appropriate relief alleging that the professional violated the terms of the consent agreement and requesting that the board:

  1. Make a probable cause determination that the professional violated the terms and conditions of the agreement
  2. Issue a preliminary order vacating its previous order staying the suspension in this matter, terminating the period of probation and actively responding to the professional’s license

If you have received a petition for appropriate relief, you should immediately contact our office. Without action on your part, you may suffer the suspension or permanent loss of your professional license.
