THE IMPORTANCE OF KEEPING JOB EVALUATIONS

On Behalf of | Oct 5, 2016 | Medical Licensing

Most employers, including all major hospitals that I am aware of, routinely perform written job evaluations. If your employer does annual job evaluations, it is in your best interest to obtain a copy of each evaluation and keep it for a minimum of five (5) years.

If, at some point in your career, you are accused of some impropriety, the job evaluations could be instrumental in your defense. Most employers will not give you a copy of your job evaluation once you stop working there; therefore, it is important to get a copy of the evaluation shortly after it is done.

If you are ever accused of diversion of drugs, use of drugs, inappropriate behavior at work, or arrested for driving under the influence, the healthcare board you belong to will usually order you to attend a Mental/Physical exam to see if you suffer from some type of impairment.

Good job evaluations are part of a package of documents we submit on your behalf to support our position that you do not have an impairment.
