Accelerated Rehabilitative Disposition (ARD)

Accelerated rehabilitative disposition (ARD) is a program for first-time offenders charged with driving under the influence (DUI) and other nonviolent crimes. This program can be an excellent alternative to individuals proceeding to trial for the following reasons:

  • There will be no criminal conviction after completion of probation.
  • There is no minimal driver’s license suspension.
  • No jail time is imposed.

To be eligible for ARD, you must have no prior convictions. At the conclusion of the ARD program, we can petition the court to have your record expunged. This results in the destruction of all criminal records.
